There is no doubt that soft neutrals are hot colors this Spring, especially paired with white or black. But, several bold colors have also made their way into top fashion trends for spring and summer of 2021. In this post, I’ll outline my favorite ways to incorporate some of this year’s bright color trends into your spring and summer wardrobe.
The fashion color trends I’m highlighting in this post come from Pantone, the worlds preeminent color expert. You can find more information about this year’s Pantone colors for 2021, as well as the Pantone colors of the year, on their website.

Cerulean (Light Blue)

Cerulean is a beautiful light sky blue that is sure to add a calm and serene look to your outfit. This gorgeous shade of blue will add softness to your style and will work well throughout the year.
How to Wear Light Blue
Trendy Rag and Bone cropped flare jeans, a soft Meraki (Amazon Brand) cotton sweater, cool Michael Kors sneakers and matching tote make this outfit both stylish and comfortable. You’re going to look amazing in this outfit!
Did you know there are more than 25 privately owned brands exclusively sold on Amazon? It’s true! Amazon brands are fashionable and high quality. Try your first Amazon brand with this lightweight v-neck Meraki cotton sweater. I’m wearing the sweater in this post I love it! It’s super soft and the reviews from others are good, too.
White jeans are one of the most popular fashion trends this season. And, what’s not to love about Rag & Bone denim? The super-stretch denim and a stylish cropped flare make these Rag & Bone jeans the perfect look for spring and summer.
White sneakers are another fashion must-have this year and what better match for our soft sweater and jeans than these matching white, light blue and gold leather sneakers from Michael Kors.
Every outfit needs the polish and sophistication of a good handbag. And, this Michael Kors Top-Zip Tote in pale blue does the trick perfectly. This large bag is a great way to incorporate fashion color trends and has lots of storage and an inside cell phone pocket.
Illuminating (Bright Yellow)

Illuminating is sunny, friendly yellow that literally screams Summer. Vincent Van Gogh once said, “How wonderful yellow is. It stands for the sun.”
How to Wear Bright Yellow
Yellow doesn’t make its way into our wardrobes often, so we should look at ways to wear this happy color while we can, and the way to do it is with Gray. Gray and yellow are a consummately modern and perfect pairing and one of this year’s hottest fashion color trends. This tie-front blouse by Vince Camuto, with Rekucci Women’s Comfort Stretch pants and fabulous loafer hybrid pumps from Aerosoles are a great choice for spring and summer. You’ll feel great in this sunny combo!
This yellow tie-front blouse by Vince Camuto features clean lines that are appropriate for professional attire while still being casual enough for the weekend. The tie at the waist gives a flirty look to the outfit while accentuating and flattering the waist.
These Ease into Comfort Stretch Slim pants by Rekucci are the ultimate in comfort and flexibility. Whether you’re working from home or going into the office, these pants are slimming and comfortable. The pants come in over 25 colors, but go with the Charcoal Gray which looks AMAZING with yellow.
These shoes by Aerosoles are the perfect blend of comfort and style. The loafer-style high vamp and soft foam footbed make these a very comfortable pair of pumps. At the same time, the snakeskin pattern and pointed toe make them stylish enough to include in this spring and summer fashion post.

French Blue is a classic. Pantone describes it as “awakening a vision of Paris in the Springtime.” This is one of my personal favs, I know you’ll love it too!
How to Wear French Blue
To me, French Blue is a romantic color and one of the prettiest fashion color trends of the year. It’s the color of the South of France in the summertime. A flowing pintuck blouse by Tommy Hilfiger, classic straight-leg cropped jeans by Levi’s and lovely thong sandals by Michael Kors make an ideal summer outfit.
This pretty French Blue floral blouse is perfect to wear out for the day or to take on vacation. The timeless design of this blouse will hold up for years to come.
High Rise Straight Cut Jeans
The high rise, straight cut of these Levi’s jeans are the most universally flexible and flattering cut of the season. You can wear these jeans with sneakers, high heels or sandals. The medium wash on this denim lends a classic and slightly dressed up feeling to the outfit.
Check out these sexy Michael Kors sandals! The beautiful blue color is nicely complemented by brown soles. These shoes really add the pop to this outfit.
Mint (Bright Green)

Pantone’s Mint is interestingly more of a bright green than one would expect. Green is often described as a refreshing and tranquil color and is said to have a calming effect on our moods.
How to Wear Bright Green
This stylish puff sleeve top, smart pencil skirt and sexy block heeled shoes is the perfect office outfit for spring. You will look so sharp in this work appropriate combo!
This Shein Puff Sleeve top is a cute way to add this hot color to your summer and spring wardrobe. The top is flattering to wear and the puff sleeves are chic and feminine. If you’ve never purchased something from Shein, you should give it a try! This is not a luxury brand, but it’s a great way to add an inexpensive flash of style to your outfit. They run a bit small, so you might want to size up. I think Shein is perfect for adding trends that you’d like to wear for a while but don’t want to make a large investment in.
Everyone needs a few timeless pencil skirts in their closet. And, navy goes so well with green! This elegant skirt from Theory is 96% wool with just 4% Elastane for a bit of stretch. Quality and style are a guaranteed hallmark of the Theory brand.
The traditional styling of the pencil skirt needs a shoe with some visual interest and these 100% suede nude colored block heels are an excellent choice.
To polish off this look, add a great bag! This Michael Kors Mott Medium Satchel really pulls this outfit together. Plus, you need this bag to use every St. Patrick’s Day for the rest of your life!
Raspberry Sorbet (Hot Pink)

How to Wear Hot Pink
Raspberry Sorbet is a vibrant splash of color that is sure to lend feminine strength to your outfit. Pink is often associated with love, kindness and femininity. You’ll rock this outfit!
This breathtaking collarless faux leather biker jacket stands out in a crowd. It’s faux leather, so it’s both sustainable and affordable. Get ready for the compliments!
You can never go wrong with black jeans. This classic mid-rise straight leg denim by Levi’s is a wardrobe staple. With just a bit of stretch, these jeans will quickly become one of your favorites.
A fitted black sweater provides a slim foundation for this outfit. This fitted Eimin (Amazon Brand) Long Sleeve Crewneck Pullover is fitted for excellent fit and warm for maximum comfort. This is a fitted sweater, so take a look at the size chart before ordering.
I am in LOVE with these black pumps by The Drop (Amazon Brand). These are faux leather so they are a sustainable product. The 3.5 inch heel is sexy but not too high to walk in. And, the high vamp ensures a comfortable fit. All of that, and you can’t beat the price either. These black pumps would also look great with the Plaid Blazer and Jeans I shared recently.
This outfit wouldn’t be complete without another bright splash of pink. This wristlet from Fossil fits the bill perfectly.
