And, like you, I like to go into the summer season with a few new cute summer outfits that are flexible enough for a day in the sun or brunch with the girls. In this post, I’ll share my favorite looks for summer 2021 that mix and match beautifully and won’t break the bank. Pick up all of these cute, stylish and reasonably priced pieces and your summer wardrobe will be ready to go in one fell swoop!

Midi Skirt, Sneakers, Tee
One of my favorite looks this year is a midi skirt, tee and white sneakers. This is a casual, but dressed up enough for a date, look. To clarify, a midi skirt is one that falls between the knee and the ankle. This universally flattering look is stylish, classy and comfortable.
Amazon is great for inexpensive skirts and tees. This boho midi skirt by Verdusa in a complementary a-line cut is lightweight and features fabric with a slight stretch. I love this flirty skirt in both the black and the blue floral print.
Tie Back Tank in Feathersoft Yarn
At first glance, this is just white J. Crew tank. But look closer. The tie-back tank is sexy without being so revealing that you worry about it all day. Pick up a couple of these for summer. For less than $15 each including shipping, they’re a great deal!
Women’s Chuck Taylor Shoreline Casual Sneakers
Who doesn’t love a pair of white Chuck Taylors? These are extra special since they have a fun beachy slip-on style instead of the traditional lace-up version. So whether you’re going outdoors or headed to brunch, these are the way to go.
Chino shorts, Espadrilles & Feminine Top
J Crew 5” Classic Chino Shorts
Chinos never seem to go out of style. Dress these smart shorts up with a blazer and loafer mules, or dress them down for summer with a light cotton blouse and espadrilles. The five inch inseam on these is the perfect not-too-short-not-too-long length and you can’t beat the quality and tailored look of J. Crew.
Lorraine Embroidered Blouse
I love this short sleeve embroidered blouse by Bohme. This pretty top is perfect with shorts, a skirt, or jeans. It’s light and airy and made of non-stretch fabric that is ideal for a warm summer day.
Christina Platform Espadrilles
Espadrilles are hot for summer in 2021. This pair is particularly flexible with a perforated faux leather upper and platform base. These shoes will go with everything and will quickly become one of your favorites this summer.
Cargo Pants & Slim Fitting Top
Taliah Tencel Cargo Pants
These pants are the best combination for summer with their silky cargo pants meet joggers styling. So cute! With lots of pockets and a fashionable neutral color, these are truly a must have for your summer wardrobe.
Sleeveless Pleated Tie Neck Top
Pair the cargo pants with this sexy tie neck tank top from J. Crew. The underlying theme of this post is mix and match and this top will literally go with everything else on this page. Don’t be afraid to show some shoulder this summer in this hot little number!
White Mountain London Women’s Sandals
Every lady needs a pair of flat summer sandals and these thong sandals by White Mountain blend comfort and style. With their cushioned insoles and soft suede lining, you can wear these all day without pain and they’ll go with everything.
Shorts and Kimono
Blue Jean shorts
This summer fashion post wouldn’t be complete without a pair of classic denim shorts. This pair from J. Crew has a Pacific Denim wash and a five and a quarter inch inseam so they are just the right color and length.
The Core 10 Women’s Tie Front Yoga Tank is a great option for summer. Designed for flexibility and comfort, this tank has a slightly relaxed fit, so it’s not too tight. And, the tie-front gives it a little more polish than a traditionally styled tank top.
Step out of your comfort zone and try a Kimono this summer. These feminine, flowing toppers are extremely versatile and step up the look of any outfit. Wear it over a tank with shorts as in this example, or wear it as a bathing suit cover up. The viscose fabric of this lovely kimono is silky and cool on your skin and the price is right at less than $25.
Alta Platform Sandals
Since we’ve upgraded the basic denim shorts look with a kimono, we’ve added a more dressed up sandal as well. These fun platform sandals from Bohme feature a sling back and are made entirely from man made materials.
Straight-cut Jeans, Striped Jeans & Old Skool Vans
J. Crew Jeans
There’s nothing more classically appropriate for summer than a great pair of jeans, a stylish tee and a pair of Old Skool Vans. These straight-cut jeans from J. Crew are my current favorite. They are a slightly relaxed fit but are not baggy and the straight cut style and slight stretch is super flattering.
Stylish Striped Tank
The top I’m wearing in the photo is actually vintage thrift store find. But I love this Verona Moda Laguna Striped Tank from Bohme. Made from Tencel fabric, this top is guaranteed to be cool on a hot summer day.
I love a pair of lace-up Vans. Originally a skateboarding shoe, Vans are my favorite sneakers and I collect them in many different colors and patterns. I recently got this classic navy and white pair as a gift from my husband. You need a pair, too! They go with everything!
